Acer/Soliloquy Alliance Humanizes Internet Shopping
Enhancing E-commerce Experience with Natural Language Understanding
Acer America, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Acer Group, and Soliloquy, Inc., a New York-based e-commerce enabling company, today announced that ShopAcer.com will provide its Internet customers with Soliloquy's two-way dialogues and natural language understanding capabilities to enhance the online purchasing experience.
Under the agreement, Soliloquy's Notebook Expert will reside on the ShopAcer.com web site (http://www.shopacer.com), Acer's online store for home and home office computer products. Shoppers will be able to select the Acer notebook that best meets their needs including speed, budget, weight, memory and more by holding a conversation with the Notebook Expert.
Soliloquy's Experts allow shoppers to have intelligent two-way dialogues with Web sites using their own words. The natural language technology feels like talking to a live person, who is a world-class expert on the topic, and has comprehensive knowledge of all products. This next-generation user interface makes online shopping interactive and conversational, is available around-the-clock, and is maintained at a fraction of the cost of human customer service representatives.
"We are thrilled to be working with Acer, the third largest PC manufacturer in the world," says Catherine Winchester, President and CEO of Soliloquy, Inc. "Soliloquy looks forward to helping Acer to improve its user experience, increase its sales and lower its costs."
"Our customers love the Soliloquy Notebook Expert," Pyramyth Liu, Director of Sales for Acer America company stores said. "For the first time, we can really see what our customers are looking for because they express their needs in their own words. We believe that this will not only reduce returns but also increase customer satisfaction as we continue the long-term relationships that we have built with customers for more than 20 years."
